National Doctor's Day
“Medicines cure diseases, but only doctors can cure patients.”
National Doctor’s Day is celebrated every year on 1st July to pay respect to the legendary physician and Second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.
To salute the umpteen courage and dedication of these warriors, who risk their own lives to give life to others, our school, celebrated Doctor’s Day on 1st July 2021.
To mark this day, a Virtual Quiz Competition was organised in which the students of Class IV to VIII participated and competed to bag the first position. The rounds were tricky, the competition was tough, but the participants were tougher. After thrilling rounds Rituraj, Nandini, Daman, and Nikita emerged as the winners.
Special thanks to Ms. Asha, Ms. Ritu and Ms. Pom Roy for their untiring efforts in making this competition a success.
On the other hand, the students of Classes I to V paid tribute to these angels in white coats through a dance performance and a small presentation in which they dressed themselves as doctors and nurses and spoke about the utmost service rendered by the doctors. The twinkle in the eyes of the little ones was clear indication that they have started dreaming big for their future. All applause goes to Ms. Shweta Kumari and Ms. Pom Roy for their hardships in preparing the students for the same.
Come, let us pray for the well being of these heros who are keeping the ray of hope alive during this tough time that- we shall overcome some day.
