Maths Day

A famous mathematician once said, ” Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit”.

Mathematics can be tough sometimes, so can many things in life. Mathematics is the only subject which shows that problems have solutions. To celebrate the spirit of mathematical learning and explore various mathematical concepts, ‘Maths Day’ was celebrated in our school today i.e on 22nd December, 2021. This day is celebrated all over the country as Srinivasa Ramanujan’s birth anniversary. Various activities were organised for the students where they made Fraction Flowers, Factor Christmas tree and many more. Students also performed skit with the objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life. A quiz competition was organised for middle school that brought forth maximum participation from students. Children not only participated with great zeal but also learnt the technique to apply the knowledge of the subject in a variety of context. The competition concluded by encouraging words from our Headmistress ma’am, Mrs Gunjan Bhasin. She quoted, “Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding.”
