A field trip is one of the best tools that we can use to provide every student with real- world experience.
Our school organised such trip for Pre- Primary and Grades I, II, and III. Pre-Primary and Class I visited nearby Hatia Station and Classes II and III visited shopping mall.
The purpose of this visit was to acquaint the students with different transport facility used by most of us. They observed the ticket counters, waiting rooms, the indicators displaying the time and name of the trains. On the other hand Classes II and III visited shopping mall. The objective was to acquaint the students with availability of various products. They got an opportunity to find the price of each item as well as go through the billing procedure.
This trip enriched the curriculum, made connections to what students are learning and provided students with meaningful learning experience. It gave valuable insight to the children emotionally, aesthetically, and economically.
